POTATO DOUGHNUT
4 cups flour
300gms potatoes(Irish)
2 1/4 tsp yeast
1/8 cup water
3/4 cup cold milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1/4 cup melted butter
Method:
Peel n cook potatoes,strain n blend with
cold milk.... U wil ve a purée
Using an electric mixer,beat d potato
purée,water,melted butter,egg,yeast
sugar,salt and 2 cups flour for 2mins
scraping d bowl constantly. Change d
whisk beater to dough hooks and mix in d
remaining flour to form a soft dough.
Cover n leave to rise for abt 30mins to 1hr
until it doubles in size n depending on d
climatic condition.
For shaping simply grease palms with veg.
oil n roll btw palms to form a ball.
Use ur thumb to make an insertion.
Place on a tray for abt 15mins....
Meanwhile heat oil in a deep pan and fry
on both sides till golden brown...
U can also bake, is u dnt want it oily.
